About the Bond

This May we have an opportunity to continue to invest in our excellent local community college.   LBCC works hard to meet evolving employer needs and provide quality education to ALL students – and now we can help it meet today’s most critical gaps right here in our community by voting YES for the Linn-Benton Community College bond.  At just 7 cents per a thousand, or $2 a month,  this is an affordable, smart and necessary investment in a critical community resource.

A YES vote will:

Build a new Agricultural Center

Right now LBCC is forced to turn students away from its successful Agriculture Programs due to limited space. A new agriculture center will not only allow programs to expand, but also meet the demands of local employers in critical need of technical farm workers.

Reopen a Childcare Center

This bond will allow LBCC to re-open its childcare center – helping to improve early learning opportunities for kids and help parents get back to work. It will also create hands-on learning spaces for early childhood education students—workers we urgently need in the community.

Repair Aging Buildings

This bond will allow LBCC to make critical repairs including addressing accessibility for people with disabilities, and upgrades to boilers and HVAC systems. With these repairs, our community’s college will be able to educate future generations for decades to come.

The LBCC Bond Keeps Funding in OUR Community

The LBCC bond will also unlock a matching appropriation from the State of Oregon for $8 million, and make the college eligible for future grants. Passing this bond ensures this money is spent right here in our community
